Meditate On His Word Meditation was designed by God to transfer the substance of His being into the hearts of His people. Through meditation the human spirit positions itself to receive revelation from God by the Spirit. The Spirit knows all things concerning our lives. He has the answer to every situation and knows the codes that would unlock any and every door in life. The deep thoughts of God are designed to be known and understood by us all. This is how God receives glory; as He discloses His thoughts and we see the effect and power in His thoughts we recognise Him for who He is. We don’t recognise Him for who He is when we have no access to the effect of His presence. We are only being superstitious i.e. worshipping the unknown God and basing our lives on assumption. As a man thinks so his condition is, we know. Man is created in the image of God, as a microcosm of the macrocosm. As God thinks so is He. The condition of heaven with its abundance and splendour is but a reflection of the thinking of God. As heaven is a natural consequence of God’s way of thinking so also is the state of the nations a product of man’s collective thought patterns. If we can elevate the thoughts into the realm of God, our conditions will also change to that degree. God desires this for man, He has put that desire in us He has said,� so shall my Word be.� It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us His kingdom. It is practically impossible for man to elevate his thought patterns on his own. It’s God who must unveil the secrets to a life of abundance by descending into the regions of humanity and granting him access to the secret place of the most high by illuminating his thoughts. Meditation upon the Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to expound the scriptures is the key. As we spend time reading, re-reading and muttering scriptures to ourselves it starts out as a ritual, probably a boring routine but suddenly the Holy Spirit takes over and starts talking directly to us from the Word and we begin to hear Him. Streams of heavenly thoughts are opened up in our mind. The greatest experience happens to our soul – it starts acquiring the knowledge of wisdom. Have a great week Pastor Poju Oyemade.
