Set- Back: An Opportunity to find the Compass

A set back is an opportunity for you to change from your lower calling to your higher calling. It is an opportunity to re-define your purpose inside. You really need to ask yourself specific questions when you desire certain things e.g. why do you want to become the CEO your organisation? Is it just for the position or money? It must not be all about that but more about the purpose inside you. That is why you can not follow the clock you must follow the compass inside you. When we have this set back and crises period within our lives, it is for us to discover that inner compass that lies within us. There is no real fulfilment in having external things, without having the real purpose inside you established. When you start out in this faith walk, you need to listen and run the race that is set before you. There will be situations that will come your way that will appear as crisis situations within your life when you start. The whole point is for an exchange to occur inside you that will bring about a transformation from the place of lower calling from being carnal and materialistic and about taking you to the place of higher calling and purpose, defined by God inside you. As a result you get to a place where you are comfortable. It is not about you duplicating what someone else is doing. You are comfortable with yourself and the programme that is both in and before you. You know that you are going to get to your destination and are thus taking it one step after another. The purpose of that particular desire has been clearly defined inside you how it is going to be distributed and used has also been clearly defined. The Bible puts it this way, ’patience worketh experience’(Romans 5:4). The word experience means being authentic and genuine, and this can only be achieved if you allow patience to have its work in your life.
