Jesus told some folks, he said, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29). Therefore, it is important that you have an in-depth working knowledge of the scriptures, and this can be achieved through a keen study of the bible and the listening of messages. The result of practicing this is having an understanding of God’s mind.
Let’s assume that you’re faced with a challenge in your life, and you’re faced with the responsibility to tackle the situation successfully. The solution I recommend, is to set time apart to address that particular situation. Regardless of how busy your lifestyle/schedule may be, it is important to seclude yourself in a place where you have zero distraction. Then, immerse yourself in prayer (in tongues and your understanding), meditation and the study of the word in order to seek God’s face accurately on the matter. For instance, when God wanted to show the Israelites the miraculous, He asked them through Joshua to separate themselves for a few days, “And Joshua said to the people, Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you” (Joshua 3:5).
So if you want God to move in your midst, there must be some form of separation unto Him, where you go to the throne of grace that you may obtain mercy and find grace to help you (Hebrews 4:16). You cannot just continue on the same energy level that you were, living your regular life and going through your usual routine and expect the supernatural. To experience a shift in your life, you need to operate in the ‘unusual’ then you will see the extraordinary!
Be rest assured that God will always come through for you once you make a demand for mercy and you believe that your prayer for God’s mercy is heard and answered. There’s no way God will not show a person mercy once he has faith, afterwards, you are rewarded for that prayer with illumination. So spend quality time with the scriptures and read the word of God until light comes from God’s word (Psalm 119:130).
