The Power of Triumphant Faith

And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. Psalms 12:6

There are so many things God wants to do in your life now. If only you can just listen to Him, powerful things will come out of your life. A lot of people are spending their time on things that are not expressly existent or expressly shown to them in the written word of God. It is in the scriptures being revealed to an individual that faith is dispersed. That’s the reason you have to spend time reading the word of God and have a good knowledge of scriptures.

Examine intently what Paul said to Timothy, “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). In other words, it is the Holy Scriptures that will make you wise or show you what the wisdom of God is concerning a matter. So it is important you have a good knowledge of scriptures, spend a lot of time reading the word of God and fill your mind with the word of God. This is also buttressed in the part of the scripture that says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you” (John 15:7),  “words” used in that verse refers to the case that the word of God that has been stored up inside your heart through regularly reading and interacting with the scriptures is what is poured out of you when challenges arise. So the case of asking ‘random people’ for relevant scriptures to be used to handle crisis when they arise does not come to fore because you already have a solid relationship with God’s word!

I encourage you again, know the scriptures for yourself. Spend time reading the word of God so that you can know the exact words to use when you need to. And more importantly, so that you’re in-tune with the mind of God concerning any situation you’re challenged with. A good knowledge of the scriptures will also prevent you from going into error. So don’t just listen to messages and read books to know just what the preacher/writer says. Rather, take the Bible and look up the scriptures for your own self. Have a good knowledge of scriptures. This is an essential part of your faith walk.

All in all, study the bible, know the scriptures for yourself, and meditate upon those scriptures that resonate with you until they become a part of your inner consciousness. Then watch the word work for you.
