The Power of Triumphant Faith

“Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer nor His mercy from me!” Psalm 66:20.

God’s court is the most effective place to receive judgement over any matter. Once He hears your cry, He acts. He always shows mercy to His own. To get to the depth of mercy however, we must understand its principle. It requires patience. Patience in God’s presence…patience as we live our daily lives interacting with people with different preferences. We need patience even when we feel cheated, abused or oppressed. It’s a rare virtue to come by these days. It is a challenge. We are called to embrace patience.

We lose the understanding and experience of the covenant of God’s mercy and protection once we begin to respond according to our feelings in the flesh. We must learn to leave God to handle situations for us. It’s a process and it will bring lifting if we do not interfere before Jesus shows up. A great opportunity will emerge as you wait on God. You will receive the former and latter rain in one season. In the Bible, many people like Moses, Jacob, Joseph etc. were ill treated and taken advantage of. They overcame by waiting patiently for the arm of God’s mercy. They neither fought back to show their innocence nor bickered about their situations. They just waited on the Most High knowing He’s able.As we wait on God to respond in our favour, we must also not hold anything against anyone in spite of how much we think they are the party responsible for the hurt we feel. In the end, the mercy of God will show up for you because you did not grudge the people that treated you wrongly.

Once faced with challenging situations, pray for a release of His mercy. As you do so, forgive everyone and yourself where need be for any wrong doing. His mercy will be reflected in your life. Pray for God’s mercy over the lives of others involved too. Ask that they be relieved from the consequences of their sins. God uses seemingly ugly situations to teach and  subsequently make us better people. Do not let bitterness set in. Ask for the mercy of God knowing that no one is right except God. He will teach and guide you in all things .Shut your door on the enemy! Walk in forgiveness and in the mercy of God and His angels will protect you.”Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy”. Matthew5:7
