In the creation story in the book of Genesis, the bible says, God worked for six days and on the seventh day, the Sabbath, He rested from His work. A lot of people want to get into the rest of God but don’t know how to get there. The bible says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matt 11:28)”. “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matt 11:29)”. These two scriptures say a lot about coming into God’s rest.
The same way God ceased from His own works on the seventh day; those that operate in faith should also cease from their own works too. This means you will disengage from any fruitless activities that will not yield anything. Rather you will follow the leading of the Spirit to know what is expected of you. When you enter into the rest of God you have simply entered into what God has ordained for you. And this path will automatically lead you to a fruitful end.
The bible says, “the way of the transgressors is hard (Prov 13:15). Anything you do outside God’s program means the person will begin to swim against the tide of life.
But when you are in the center of God’s will and you are accomplishing things in the way and manner in which God wants it done you automatically get into God’s rest. It now begins to look like you have entered into events that have been prepared from the foundation of world for you. You will find divine coincidences happening in your life. You will meet people at the right time, be at the right place at the right time and you will find lots of people that want to support you for no valid reason. This is simply an expression of God’s favour upon your life. You will know you have entered into something that has been prepared for you.

That is a life that has been pre-arranged, and you just seem to be the actor on that particular stage playing out a script that has already been written. People will look at you and know for a fact that there is something you know about life that they don’t know about. This is what it means to enter into the rest of God. Every step you take or activity you engage in yields results and everything you do is productive. To enter into the rest of God you need to understand the creation story. In the story, God created everything within six days and in everything that was created there was a life or seed in it that could also produce its own kind either in animals or plants. After creation God made us understand that hence forth all forms of life will be created through reproduction. Meaning creation has already taken place and thereafter every other thing on the earth will only be reproduced. For instance, every man or plants that you see on the earth today are all reproduced by someone else or another plant. So is every orange plant or fruit you see, they are all products of reproduction and not of creation. In conclusion, in the life of every individual God will, at a certain point come along with a creative miracle and from that point on He expects you to enter into His rest and cease from the place of creation to the place of the miracle of reproduction. Once you do, you will experience God on levels that you have never seen before, because it is the miraculous that is at work in your life.
