The Power of Triumphant Faith

In Exodus 14:1-end we read about how the Israelites came out of Egypt and were pursued by the Egyptians. We need to understand that the Israelites had already made a commitment and there was no going back on it. According to the Scriptures, the first thing they did when they saw the Egyptians was to cry unto God. This cry was not a covenant cry, nor was it an act of faith. Many people cry out to God in their time of need and God does not show up. They expect God to show up simply because they cried out. There are principles to be followed; take a step and move into the Red Sea, take the Ark, step into the Jordan and stand still etc. Most times it is not about crying out to the Lord in the time of trouble but knowing and obeying the instructions He has given you for that period.

What God was trying to show the Israelites was that certain situations arise to show the awesomeness of His power and for them to know that the living God was among them.

Many people have great destinies and can see it in their hearts, but the issue is that they do not know what to do in order to fulfil it. Some step out, but when the pressure begins, they start crying out in order to be taken back to their past. Like the Israelites at the Red Sea that cried out in fear, considering themselves better off in Egypt as slaves rather than having the vision of the Promised Land fulfilled.

You need to step out, it is not all going to be rosy but you have a choice to bring God into your situation.  The presence of God does not mean you will not be faced with obstacles, for the Israelites the stress and pressure was real. The simple fact is that the people who stand still will get the results. What this means is that they do not reflect the stress of what is going on in their circumstances; people look at them and think it is easy. The people who fail are the people who show the stress. The key of the people that make it look easy is that they do not let external conditions affect the state of their hearts, instead they allow God take His rightful place. People do not know what others go through to get the kind of results they have. The salvation of the Lord means that you will see what you have to do in order for God to show up.

The challenge now, is to carry the Ark (with praise) to the brim of the Jordan and put your feet inside and as the waters are telling you how wrong you are and that failure is inevitable; all you just need to do is to be still inside your heart before God. Praise and worship Him, do not allow the fear on the outside to pierce that shield and affect you. God will show up and direct you on what you are going to do. If you are going to get anything done, this is exactly how you are going to succeed. Remember, you start out in praise and at the verge of the project you must stand still in thanksgiving and praise God.
